Since 2009, I have used my counselling skills to help people to navigate their life challenges and their mental health, which might include experiences of anxiety, depression, and stress.
I have diverse professional experience outside of counselling. I’ve worked in various settings with vulnerable people, including the drug and alcohol field, criminal justice and social housing. I've heard a lot of people' stories.
I’m supported by a supervisor who ensures my work with you remains safe and ethical.
I have been a therapy client myself, so I understand the challenges of finding someone to confide in and the hard work that follows.
I will use my counselling skills to support you as you discover your own answers, rather than providing a set list of solutions like a life coach might.
My goal is for you to feel more at peace and have a deeper understanding of yourself and your needs by the time our work together is over.
I am a qualified professional with extensive training, skills, and insurance. As an Accredited Professional Registrant (PNCPS Acc.) member of the National Counselling Society (NCS22-00867), I maintain a balance between professionalism and approachability.
I incorporate warmth and a sense of humor into our sessions, so while we tackle serious issues, we won’t shy away from appreciating the lighter side of things.
I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2009, training in the person-centred approach.
Through commitment to ongoing learning I stay informed about current therapy methods and research into wellbeing.
Additionally, I support employees through their workplaces and currently provide therapy services through WPA, Onebright/AXA, and InsideOut.
Counselling can help you to address a variety of areas in your life. Through the course of my work since 2009 I have worked with people on the following:
